This is a companion piece to “Angry Cellist.” I painted them simultaneously. Obviously, this one is a lot less complex in terms of color. Though the mood is calmer, I think of this as a simplified version of its companion.

This title started as a joke, but it fits, so I kept it. I painted it on a day when the news of the world was just infuriating, and I wasn’t doing a very good job of keeping my feelings about it at a distance. Music has a reputation as a channel for emotions, and in this case, it also applies to paintings about music.
